The IDME program has 2 parts.
PART 1: Four courses which offer a foundation in the Body-Mind Centering® approach to developmental movement. In these courses students explore the patterns and principles through their own experiences and movements. These courses are required before taking IDME 1 and IDME 2.
The four developmental courses are:
Senses & Perception 1
Basic Neurocellular Patterns
Primitive Reflexes, Righting Reactions & Equilibrium Responses
Ontogenetic Development
Those developmental courses are also included in the curriculum of the Somatic Movement Education (SME) program. The schedule for those courses is here.
PART 2: Two courses that specifically apply the developmental material to offering educational support to babies and their caregivers. These courses can only be taken after completing the four courses in part 1.
